Draft terms, not reviewed
Have a lawyer review them, especially liability and the language clause, then remove this block from resources/views/site/terms.blade.php.
The agreement between Ocubee and businesses that use it. People who only scan a label to report a problem don’t need an account and aren’t bound by these terms as customers.
Who you’re dealing with
These terms are between you, the business, and:
P06 · Legal name and address
What Ocubee does
Ocubee gives you QR labels for your machines, a way for anyone to report a problem, an inbox for your team and a private follow-up link for the person who reported it. It’s being built and is first offered through in-person pilots.
What Ocubee doesn’t do
Ocubee doesn’t repair machines, process refunds or payments for using your machines, book appointments or monitor machines remotely. You stay responsible for your equipment and for how you respond to reports.
Your account and team
You’re responsible for who you invite and the role you give them, and for keeping your passwords safe. The owner of an organization controls its billing and its deletion.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Ocubee to break the law, to collect information people wouldn’t expect you to collect, or to attack or overload the service. Tell people at your machines how to reach you another way if reporting is unavailable.
Your data
Your records stay yours. We use them only to run the service, as set out in the privacy policy. Owners can export their records and delete their organization.
Prices and payment
Plans are priced by the number of active machines. The prices on this site are planned launch prices and may change during the pilots. Once signup opens, plans start with a 14-day trial that requires a card, then renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. Stripe handles the payment.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Reporting then stays on for seven days, your records can be read and exported for 180 days, and then they’re deleted.
Availability
We work to keep Ocubee running and to protect your data, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. A label’s page shows your contact details when reporting is unavailable.
Liability
The law may not let us limit our liability in every case, and nothing here takes away rights that can’t be waived. Beyond that, the limit on liability has not been decided yet.
Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the laws of Canada that apply there. They exist in French and in English. If the two differ, the French version applies.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we’ll update this page and its date, and tell account owners ahead of any important change.
